BRENHAM HONORS ‘HALL OF HONOR’ INDUCTEES

Bill Davis

The 2018 Brenham High School Football Hall of Honor, Class of 2018 was honored Friday afternoon at eh annual banquet at Blinn College.

This year’s honorees include: Bill Davis, Allen Rosenbaum Dallas Coleman and Michael O’Shea.

A large crowd, including family members, Hall of Honor members, BISD officials, coaches and supporters packed into the Blinn banquet hall to honor this year's class.

Allen Rosenbaum

Davis, a wide receiver on the 1971 and ’72 Cubs, is tenth on the single-season record list with 799 yards in 1972.  He had eight touchdowns that year, which is 12th on the single season list.  In 1972, Davis had a record-setting game against Cy Fair, in which he caught seven passes (18th) for 166 yards (8th).  He was an All-State receiver in 1972.

Dallas Coleman

Rosenbaum was an All-District receiver/tight end for the Cubs in 1986 and ’87, where he helped lead the Cubs to a combined two-year record of 17-3-4.  He was also an All-State baseball player on the Cubs’ back-to-back State Championship teams of ’86 and ’87.  Rosenbaum went on to Blinn College and Texas A&M and is currently a Principal with the Corrinth Companies in The Woodlands.

Michael O'Shea

Coleman helped lead the Cubs to an 11-2 mark in 2001, passing for 1,300 yards and rushing for 650 more, accounting for 28 TDs. He was 18-4A's most valuable player. He had 1,600 yards of offense and 19 TDs as a junior.  Coleman went on to play college football at Texas State.

O’Shea, an early 60’s graduate of Brenham High School, became a highly-decorated athletic trainer in college and pro football.  After stints with the University of Texas, Kent State and the Air Force Academy, O’Shea moved on to the Baltimore Colts of the NFL.  He then moved back to college football with a career that included the University of Miami, Louisville and Houston, where he received numerous awards.

The four inductees will address the 2018 Cubs team prior to the game Friday night against Bastrop.  They will also be honored prior to the kickoff.
