BRENHAM ISD BLOCK PARTY, FITNESS WALK SATURDAY AT CUB STADIUM
A pair of popular Brenham school district events will combine this weekend for a day of fun and fitness.
Brenham ISD will host a free block party and elementary fitness walk Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Cub Stadium.
Pre-K through 6th grade students will be able to walk around the track for Blue Bell Ice Cream, a Whataburger coupon, and a medal. Meanwhile, 7th through 12th graders, staff and community members can visit with student groups, stop at booths for each of the Brenham ISD campuses, and enjoy free Whataburger hamburgers.
Communications Director Jessica Johnston says the two events have been held separately in the past, but the district chose to combine the two events to better accommodate for busy schedules.
Johnston says the event is about getting the community together to celebrate all things Brenham ISD.
Johnston adds that you do not need to be a part of Brenham ISD to join in for the food, fun, and fellowship.
KWHI and KTEX-106 will be at Cub Stadium Saturday morning, broadcasting live from the friendly country cruiser.
