BRENHAM LOOKING FOR CITIZENS FOR ADVISORY BOARDS

The City of Brenham is searching for a few good volunteers.

Citizens can become involved directly in governmental programs by volunteering their time to serve on any of several advisory boards.

City officials say this provides citizens an opportunity to make a difference in the community.  Service on a board takes effort, imagination, innovation, and patience.

Advisory boards are not legislative bodies and the extent of their authority is contingent upon city ordinances and/or state statutes.

Anyone interested in serving on one of the City’s 10 advisory boards, can visit the City’s website at www.cityofbrenham.org to learn more about each board as well as the application and appointment process.  You can also contact City Secretary Jeana Bellinger at 979-337-7567 for information.
