BRENHAM MAN ARRESTED FOR CHOKING INCIDENT

  

A 32-year old Brenham man was arrested late last (Wednesday) night after he allegedly tried to choke his wife during a domestic dispute.

Officer Heather Sowders was called to the scene at an apartment complex in the 2400 block of South Chappell Hill Street.  Neighbors heard some loud arguing and thought a man and his daughter were locked in a bedroom.

Officer Sowders did hear a scream when she got to the apartment.  She told the occupants to come out of the unit.  A woman came out and told the officer her husband had threatened to kill her, then choked her..

Kelvin Dewayne Ray was arrested for assault family violence and impeding breathing.
