BRENHAM MAN CHARGED WITH AGGRAVATED ASSAULT WITH STOLEN HANDGUN

  

A 19-year old Brenham man who allegedly threatened the mother of his child with a stolen handgun, was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon Friday afternoon.

The woman said Tyvaughn Devonte Hunter was armed when he began to follow her at Jackson Street Park Friday afternoon at about three pm.  She kept driving all the way to the Brenham police station on Longwood Drive.  Hunter was then apprehended once at the station. 

Officers found a .22 caliber pistol on him when they searched him.  The handgun  had a tampered serial number but it was later discovered that it had been reported stolen from Harris County.

Hunter was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a stolen firearm.
