BRENHAM MAN CHARGED WITH ASSAULT

A Brenham man is in police custody after his arrest on an assault charge.
25-year-old Steven Darnell Smith of Brenham was taken into custody after authorities were called to an assault at the 500 block of Martin Luther King JR Parkway, just before 3:00 p.m., Monday.
Police say their investigation revealed that Smith allegedly assaulted his Ex-girlfriend.
Smith was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail on a charge of Continuous Violence Against the Family.
