BRENHAM MAN SENTENCED TO 10 YEARS PROBATION FOR BURGLARIES

A Brenham man has been sentenced to 10 years’ probation after he was sentenced on multiple charges in 21st District Court.
19-year old Xsavior Rayon Roberts was sentenced to 10 years for a 2016 charge of Burglary of a Habitation. He was also fined $1500, sentenced to 120 days in the Washington County Jail and nearly 400 hours of Community service.
Roberts was also sentenced to 10 years’ probation on each of two charges of Burglary of a Habitation from January and February of 2017. He was also placed on two years’ probation for Theft of a Firearm.

Also sentenced in District Court:
19-year old Dayronn Clyde McCowan, Jr. of Brenham, placed on eight years’ probation for Burglary of a Habitation. McCowan was also fined $500 and ordered to perform 150 hours of community service restitution.

And, 27-year old Charles Nicholas Alsobrook of Brenham was placed on two years’ probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Alsobrook must also attend a drug offender education program.
Is it just me or is anyone else concerned that we are just now dealing crimes from 2016 in 2018, what is taking so long? Secondly, these are criminals who have invaded law abiding citizens homes and stolen property and caused damage and yet our court system trusts them to be back out on the streets with the ability to harm more people. A thief who breaks into someone’s home belongs in prison. Our courts and our DA are not serving us well when they allow criminal back out into the county with so little punishment for such serious crimes. I wander who their victims feel about these sentences?
Wow McCowan probation a fine after what he did to many families after attacking hard working elderly people from the back robbing hard working families a slap on the wrist all the charges you had ….. smells fishy to me
