BRENHAM PLANNING AND ZONING, BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT TO HOST TRAINING SESSION MONDAY

  

Brenham’s Planning and Zoning Commission and Board of Adjustment will hold a joint training meeting Monday afternoon.

Guest speaker Kimberly Mickelson, JD, AICP, will speak with city officials on the duties and responsibilities of board members and commissioners, basic land use planning principles, ethics and planning, and what to consider when making a decision.

Mickelson is the past President of the Texas Chapter of the American Planning Association and current Senior Assistant City Attorney for the City of Houston.   She is also a guest lecturer at Texas A&M University.

No action will be taken at the workshop, which will begin Monday afternoon at 5:30 p.m., at City Hall.
