The Brenham Planning and Zoning Commission will hear a rezoning request Monday from a local company looking to develop a convenience store in Brenham.

The Commission will hear from Brenham Wholesale Grocery regarding 2.1 acres of property adjacent to Old Chappell Hill Road, South Blue Bell Road, and Harrell Road.

Brenham Wholesale is requesting the property be rezoned from a manufactured home residential use district to industrial, which allows for a convenience store by right.

City staff are recommending approval of the rezoning request, saying it is consistent with the city’s adopted future land use map and comprehensive plan.

The Commission will also consider a final plat of the Vintage Farms Subdivision, consisting of over 17 acres of residential property on Highway 36 North, near Dixie Road.  Staff are recommending approval of the plat request.

Commissioners will meet Monday evening at 5:15 p.m., at City Hall.
