The case is under investigation.

A Brenham man is out a large amount of cash after another burglary or a motor vehicle this holiday weekend.

Monday afternoon, Officer Jonathan Phipps was dispatched to the 2800 block of Woodridge Blvd.

He met with the caller who said he had cashed a check for $4,000 approximately three months ago and carried the cash with him in his truck.

He told Phipps that he still had $2,800 in his vehicle when he checked it on Sunday.

When he checked it on Monday, he found his wallet and the cash missing.

The caller said he always keeps his doors locked and parks his vehicle where he can see it.
