BRENHAM POLICE MAKE FORGERY ARREST; INVESTIGATE BURGLARIES

  

A Brenham man faces several charges after his arrest Tuesday afternoon.

Brenham Police Cpl. Steven Eilert was called out to a local bank just before 3:00, Tuesday afternoon to a man trying to use a stolen check.

Eilert reports that 19-year old Cameron Ray Winchell admits he took the check from the rightful owner.

Winchell also had a prescription pill bottle containing hydrocodone which was made out to someone else.

Winchell is charged with: Forgery of a financial instrument; and Possession of a dangerous drug.

 

Brenham Police are investigating another burglarized vehicle.

Tuesday morning, Officer Jared Campbell was called out to the 2000 block of FM-389.

The owner says they locked the car up Monday night, but Tuesday morning discovered someone had broken into her vehicle.

Take was $200 cash.  Nothing else was reported taken.

The investigation continues.

 

Police are also investigating a burglary at a local residence.

Cpl. Steven Eilert was called out Tuesday morning to a residence at the 1300 block of Autumn Ranch for an overnight burglary.

The owner of the home says someone got into the family’s two vehicles which were parked in their garage, and took a pair of iPods.  Those were the only items taken.

Eilert reports that the garage door had been left open and both vehicles were unlocked.
