BRENHAM POLICE TO USE NEW TECHNOLOGY AT FAIR NEXT WEEK

The Brenham Police Department will be using a new aerial resource for this year’s Washington County Fair.

BPD will utilize drone observations in areas around the county fairgrounds to help prevent vehicle break-ins and watch for illegal activities around the fair.

The department will utilize drone-based observation to aid law enforcement officers on the ground with airborne images and video.

Unmanned Aerial Systems are being more commonly used by law enforcement throughout the country.

Additionally, mobile lighting towers will be used in parking areas to provide better visibility.

Deans Imaging has been contracted to provide the drone observation services.
