BRENHAM SCHOOL BOARD TO DISCUSS EMPLOYEE COMPENSATION

The Brenham School Board will continue preparation for the new school year at its meeting Monday.

On the agenda will be employee compensation for the new school year.  The district has been discussing compensation planning ever since the recently completed legislature, looking at how pay raises could be distributed to staffers and administrators.

Last month, the board met with Business and Finance Director Kim Weatherby, who presented the board five scenarios detailing how base pay raises would be split up.

Also on the agenda, the board will hold public hearing and possible action on implementing the Optional Flexible School Day Program at the PRIDE Academy for next school year, after reviewing program performance from last year.

The board will also discuss bids for district fuel, the child nutrition charge policy, and meal prices for the upcoming school year.  In addition, it will hear construction updates on the stairwells and air conditioning at Brenham High School, as well as construction at the Krause Elementary School Special Education Building.  It will also hear an accountability update.

The board will then adjourn into executive session to discuss personnel matters.

The board will meet Monday evening at 6 p.m., in rooms 111 and 113 at Brenham High School.
