BRENHAM SENIORS TO SPEAK AT EVENING LIONS CLUB MEETING

Two Brenham High School students will be guest speakers at tomorrow’s (Tuesday) Brenham Evening Lions Club meeting.

Louise Estrella and Mason Taing, both members of the upcoming Class of 2019, will be at the meeting to share their experience at Boys and Girls State.  This program gives youth across Texas the chance to learn how government works from local to federal levels.

Six students from Washington County took part in Girls State, at Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, while 11 attended Boys State at the University of Texas in Austin.  Estrella and Taing were each sponsored by the Brenham Evening Lions Club.

Honorable Judge John Brieden will also be at the meeting, to give more details about Boys and Girls State, and how Legions in Texas were involved this year.

The meeting will be held tomorrow evening at the Cannery Kitchen, off of 314 East Alamo Street in Brenham.  Dinner begins at 6:30 p.m., with the program starting at 7 p.m.  The public is invited to attend.
