BRENHAM WOMAN NAMED TO STATE THERAPY BOARD

  

A Brenham woman has recently been appointed to a statewide board of therapy examiners.

Karen Gardner has been named to the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners, which authorizes therapeutic services across the state.

Gardner is the owner of Silver Lining Therapy in Brenham, which offers community-based and animal-assisted therapy activities.

Gardner is a member of the Texas and American Occupational Therapy Associations, as well as a faculty member, former president and past board member of the American Hippotherapy Association.

She has also acted as director and supervisor of numerous rehabilitation clinics.  In addition, she is an adjunct professor for Lone Star College’s occupational therapy program.

Gardner’s term on the board will expire in February of 2023.
