BRYAN POLICE SAY MISSING 8-YEAR-OLD BOY HAS BEEN FOUND

  

Update @ 2:10 p.m.: The Bryan Police Department has located a missing child.

Eight-year-old Gabriel Micheal Rodriguez was found less than an hour after the public was notified Thursday morning.

Police said in a statement they found Rodriguez, who was returning home after he heard officers were looking for him.  Police took him to his custodial parent.

Authorities determined the child had spent the night with a friend, and the family believed he had permission to be there.  Officers say they are working with CPS to make sure he continues to be safe.

 

Update @ 12:35 p.m.: Bryan police are reporting a missing eight-year-old boy has been found.

No other details are available at this time.

 

Original Story @ 11:55 a.m.: The Bryan Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding a missing child.

Eight-year-old Gabriel Micheal Rodriguez was last seen riding his bike with a friend near his home at 2929 Stevens Drive Wednesday evening, around 6 or 7 p.m.

Gabriel’s parents have reported him missing, but police don’t believe any foul play to be involved at this time.

Rodriguez is described as a white male, 4-feet tall and 100 pounds.  He was last seen wearing a white and light green shirt and black shorts.  He was riding a dark grey bike with green rims.

Police are searching the area where the child lives, and a reverse 911 has been sent out for the immediate area, asking residents to be on the lookout.  If anyone sees him, they are asked to call Bryan police immediately at 979-361-3888.
