BRENHAM, Texas — Nic Tata scored a career-high 28 points to help lead the Blinn College men’s basketball team (11-3, 1-2) to a 90-73 win over North Lake College on Saturday in the Kruse Center.

“I am glad that we finished up the semester with a win and hope our guys enjoy the holiday break,” said Scott Schumacher, Blinn head coach.

Tristan Ikpe recorded a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. AJ Rainey followed Tata on offense with 14 points, Azariah Seay scored 13, and Pedro Castro tallied 11. 

The Buccaneers came out strong on offense to build a 49-33 lead in the first half. Blinn finished off North Lake by adding 41 points in the second half for the 90-73 win. 

Next, Blinn will resume Region XIV play against Bossier Parish Community College when the Buccaneers return from the holiday break on Friday, January 3, at 7:30 p.m. on the road.
