The Buccaneers landed a balanced group of infielders, outfielders and some strong arms for the pitching staff that could contribute for the 2016 season.

Cody LeCompte from Cypress Falls High School is a left-handed pitcher with a feel for three pitches. Clayton Kopecky from Cy-Fair High School is a right-handed pitcher/shortstop who stood out to coaches with his performance in a summer all-star game and could be a future draft pick, McIntyre said.

Rayne Richard from Brenham High School is a strong-armed right handed-pitcher with the ability to hit as well. Kyle Gray from Bowie High School is a left-handed pitcher who could contribute right away for the Buccaneers and has the tools to be a future draft pick. Montana Ellstrom is a pitcher/utility player from Stratford High School that will help out on the mound, and Jacob Norman from Carenco High School is a right-hander from Louisiana with a power fastball and one of the best sliders on the staff.

Blinn also signed a wealth of infielders, starting with Sam McElreath from Brenham High School. McElreath can play middle infield and is a solid left-handed hitter with power potential. Beau O’Hara from Seven Lakes High School will be on the left side of the infield and could be a middle-of-the-lineup bat for Blinn.

Rylie Hood from Richmond Foster High School proved to be one of the better hitters in the Houston area and should play in the right side of the infield. Jay Anderson from Atascocita High School can play both infield and outfield and is a switch hitter who can hit the ball all over the field. Angel Delafuente from Klein Collins High School is a physical infielder who can hit for power. Aaron Cortez from Brazoswood High School is a left-handed hitting infielder.

Outfielder Trent Murphy from Foster High School is a tall player with a plus arm and foot speed, and fellow outfielder Elijah McNamee from Cypress Ranch High School is a physical right-handed hitter with a strong arm.

Colton Parrish is a left-handed hitting catcher from La Vernia High School can play multiple positions, and Ben Komosky is from Canada and is a physical right-handed hitter with power potential.

Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 30 NJCAA national championships since 1987. For more information, visit www.buccaneersports.com.
