BURLESON CO. NAMES STROUD INTERIM SHERIFF
Burleson County officials have named a former sheriff to take over the office on an interim basis.
Former sheriff Dale Stroud, was selected Thursday by county commissioners, to serve the remainder of the term of former sheriff Tom Norsworthy, who resigned Tuesday.
Stroud retired from the post in 2016.
Norsworthy said he was stepping down for unspecified personal reasons.
