BURLESON CO. ROBBERY SUSPECT DIES IN CRASH

  

A suspected Burleson County Co. bank robber is dead after crashing his vehicle during a police pursuit.

According to the Burleson Co. Sheriff’s office, the robbery at the Citizens State Bank in Deanville, occurred just before 3:00 Thursday afternoon.

Witnesses say the suspect, whose name has not been released, walked into the bank with a handgun and demanded money.

After getting an undermined amount of cash, the suspect then fled in his pickup down FM-111 to County Road 130, where his vehicle rolled over.

DPS troopers and deputies with the Burleson County Sheriff's Office arrived quickly at the scene, where he suspect was pronounced dead.

No one else was injured in the robbery or the crash.

The Texas Rangers are assisting with the investigation.
