BURTON ISD WANTS SEALED BIDS FOR OLD SCHOOL
After trying to sell the old elementary school for four years the Burton School Board decided last (Monday) night to go out for sealed bids on the property.
Burton Supt. Jim Palmer says the board needed to give property sale another try.
The old Burton Elementary School has been mostly idle since the new school opened four years ago. The Boys and Girls Club use part of the old campus for a number of activities.
The new school was part of a $7 million bond issue passed in 2007.
