BURTON SCHOOL BOARD TO GO OVER DISTRICT, CAMPUS IMPROVEMENT PLANS

  

The Burton School Board will consider planning efforts across the district at its meeting tonight (Monday).

Trustees will discuss the 2019-20 district improvement plan, along with the elementary and secondary campus improvement plans.  Superintendent Dr. Edna Kennedy said the annual updates will go over the district’s ability to meet accountability standards districtwide and at each of its campuses.

The board will also evaluate the 2018-19 ESL program.  The evaluation will certify that the district met all system safeguards for Language English Proficiency.

The board will also hear reports from the superintendent, elementary and high school principals, and athletic director.  In addition, it will hold a training session for a legislative update.

The board will meet tonight at 5:30 p.m., in the Burton ISD Administration Office.
