BURTON SCHOOL BOARD TO RECONSIDER A RESIGNATION
This is the time of year when school boards begin their hiring process as they accept resignations and reassignments for the next school year.
That’s the case in Burton, when the school board meets tonight (Monday).
Supt. Jim Palmer says the Board needs to reconsider the already accepted resignation of Karen Steenken because ‘the situation changed at the other school district.’
Steenken had reportedly accepted another principal’s job at a nearby school district. The Burton School Board now needs to reconsider her resignation as the high school principal and then hire a high school principal.
The Burton School Board meets tonight (Monday) at the school district administrative offices at 701 North Railroad Street.
