CALDWELL POLICE INVESTIGATING WEEKEND ASSAULT
Officials in Caldwell reports a man is in critical condition after an aggravated assault, Saturday night.
According to Caldwell police, officers were called to a home on County Road 300 just after 10:30 p.m. At the scene, they found a man with multiple injuries.
The victim was taken to the hospital and was reported in critical condition as of Sunday. Another man on the scene was detained and questioned.
Authorities say the two men were involved in a loud altercation prior to the assault.
The Burleson County Sheriff’s Office, DPS, and Burleson County Attorney’s Office all assisted at the scene.
The Texas Rangers are assisting in the investigation. No charges have been filed at this time.
