CAPITAL MURDER INDICTMENT FOR MAN ACCUSED OF SETTING A HOUSE FIRE

  

The man arrested soon after a Bryan man and his daughter were found dead in a house fire, has now been indicted for capital murder.

Dennis Wayne Brown, a 34-year old man who had just been released from state prison, was arrested just hours after the bodies of Noel  Devin and her father, Thomas ‘Mac’ Devin were found in the ashes of a house fire in Bryan on April 7th..Now he has been indicted for capital murder.

Law enforcement officers found Noel’s SUV at the El Camino Hotel on Highway 21.

The bodies were found when fire investigators were searching the heavily damaged house.

The District Attorney’s office says they did not burn to death, they were stabbed.

Both of the victims were heavily active in activities at Texas A&M.

Brown has been in the Brazos County jail under a bond of over a million dollars, since his arrest.

Brown had been released from prison just days before the crime.
