CHAPPELL HILL CHRISTMAS FAYRE

Christmas lights, a live reindeer, a Teddy Bear Parade and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus are all a part of the second annual Chappell Hill Christmas Fayre Saturday from noon to seven pm.

Joel Romo, the publicity chair of the event says the Chappell Hill community and local businesses are set to embrace old and new traditions with live music from Chris Austin Martinez, wine tasting throughout downtown, an art show, choo choo train rides, a kids activity center, Howard the live reindeer, photos with Santa and story time with Mrs. Claus.

The traditional Teddy Bear Parade rolls down Main Street at three pm.  Romo says there are some more new things added to this year’s celebration, especially after the town lights up at 5:45.pm.

Romo says the Chappell Hill Chamber wanted to build on the wonderful traditions the community has celebrated during the Christmas season with the Teddy Bear Parade and Santa’s arrival.  He says they have added children’s activities such as the train rides, an opportunity for children to send letters to Santa, and the live reindeer.

Visitors can taste specially selected wines, which will take you throughout a few of the shops and historic buildings in Chappell Hill as well as a live Nativity scene at five pm.

Romo promises  something for the entire family.
