CHAPPELL HILL PREPARING TO WELCOME THOUSANDS OF VISITORS FOR BLUEBONNET FESTIVAL

The official bluebonnet festival of Texas gets underway this weekend in Chappell Hill.

One of the largest festivals in the state, the Chappell Hill Bluebonnet Festival attracts visitors from all over to shop from hundreds of arts and crafts vendors, enjoy live entertainment and family activities, and to see the rolling hills decorated by bluebonnets.

Today’s (Saturday) schedule for the festival runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., while tomorrow’s (Sunday) goes from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Live music will take two stages throughout the weekend, including performances from Julia Hatfield, Ryan Elise Fatheree, Justin Cole, and the Jeff Jacobs Band.

Admission is free, and parking is $5.  For more information, including maps, vendor and entertainment information, visit www.chappellhillhistoricalsociety.com/bluebonnet-festival.

KTEX-106’s Cactus Ken Murray will be out in Chappell Hill Saturday morning, broadcasting live from the friendly country cruiser.
