CHARGES POSSIBLE IN GRIMES COUNTY FATAL

A 41-year old Humble woman could face charges after a late Thursday afternoon head on collision in Grimes County.

Reports from the Texas Department of Public Safety say that Esmeralda Ramirez was driving a Ford Explorer northbound on Highway 90 at 5:25 Thursday afternoon, when she tried to pass another vehicle in a no-passing lane.  That led to a head on collision  with an older model Pontiac Grand Prix, killing the driver, 39-year old Chance Uberowski. Ubernowski  was declared dead at the scene.  Ramirez is in stable condition at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bryan.

The investigation into the accident continues.
