CHERYL GASKAMP ANNOUNCES INTENT TO RUN FOR WASHINGTON CO. TAX ASSESSOR-COLLECTOR

  

Another candidate has announced her intentions to run for the position of Washington County Tax Assessor-Collector.

Cheryl Gaskamp has filed for the office as a Republican nominee.  The office is currently being held by Dot Borchardt, who is retiring and will not seek another term.

Gaskamp, a lifelong resident of Washington County, has worked in the banking industry for the past 42 years in various departments.  She worked 25 years at Guaranty Bank, and has worked nearly 18 years at Brenham National Bank.

Gaskamp said her desire to obtain this office stems from her pride in the community, and her work ethic to devote her full attention to the duties of the office.

 

Gaskamp is an officer in the Washington County Ladies Lions Club, and has been a Child Advocate of CASA for Kids.  She is also a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Phillipsburg, holding several council and committee positions in the church.

The Republican primary election will be held on March 3, 2020.
