CHIEF PHELPS UPDATES COUNCIL ON ANIMAL SHELTER

  

Brenham Police Chief Rex Phelps reported to the City Council today that negotiations are still ongoing with the low bidder for the new Pet Adoption and Animal Care Facility.   When four bids for construction of a new Brenham animal shelter were opened two weeks ago, they came in considerably over the 2 million dollar budget for the new facility.  Chief Phelps stated that a number of options are still being developed.

 

The City Council members voted to table the item and bring it up again at a future meeting.
