‘CHILI WHEN IT’S CHILLY’ IN WALLER RESCHEDULED TO MARCH 5-6

The continued inclement weather has postponed the annual "Chili When It's Chilly" fundraiser in Waller.

Originally planned for Friday through Sunday, the event is now scheduled for March 5th and 6th at Jellystone Park in Waller.

The fundraiser will still feature plenty of food and entertainment, with chili, ribs, jalapeño, steak, homebrew and camp slop contests.  There will be live music throughout the weekend, including performances from Jamie Lin Wilson, Ryann Elise, and Kings of Hard Luck.  There will also be an auction.

Kelly Outlaw Hinze, sponsorship coordinator for the event, says proceeds go toward helping veterans re-adjust to civilian life.

Event organizers say all purchases, including pre-sale vouchers for cooking, t-shirts and other items, are still valid.  Attendees will automatically be re-booked for the revised dates at no cost to them, but they will need to request a modification or cancellation if they cannot attend on the new dates.  The park will offer a camp credit for a future stay, re-book, or provide a full refund.  Pre-sale vouchers will be honored in 2022 if they are not used this year.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the gate.  For more information, visit www.chiliwhenitschilly.com.
