CHRISTMAS PARADE LIGHTS UP DOWNTOWN BRENHAM IN HOLIDAY GRANDEUR

  

The sights and sounds of the season brought large crowds to downtown Brenham Saturday night, for the 16th Annual Lighted Christmas Parade.

Over 60 parade entries made their way through the streets of downtown, along with dozens of decorated floats.  Santa Claus also made an appearance, waving to crowds from a Brenham fire truck.

This year’s winners of the parade float contest, announced by the City of Brenham, are as follows:

  • Best Overall: St. Paul’s Christian Day School
  • Best Parade Theme: Brenham’s First Baptist Church School
  • Most Original: Texas Great Pyrenees Rescue
  • Best Lights: Entergy Texas
  • Best Spirit of the Season: Brenham Church of Christ
  • Honorable Mentions: Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative, Christ Lutheran Church and Day School, Citadel Christian School
