CITIZENS STATE BANK DONATES TO BRAZOS VALLEY FOOD BANK
Citizens State Bank has donated $5,000 to the Brazos Valley Food Bank through its Food for Families Fund Drive.

Thursday during the noon hour, the bank matched dollar-for-dollar donations to the fund drive, raising $5,000 for the food bank’s fund drive.
The food bank’s initial goal was to raise $75,000 to continue assisting those dealing with food insecurity in the area, but at the end of the day, the fund drive raised over $128,000.
According to a release, since the pandemic began, Brazos Valley food pantries have helped 14 percent more households, with new households increasing 65 percent. This has resulted in the Brazos Valley Food Bank delivering, providing, and distributing 36 percent more food to those in need.
