CITY OF BRENHAM PREPARING FORMER POLICE CHIEF DOCUMENTS FOR RELEASE

Former Brenham Police Chief Craig Goodman

KWHI News is expecting the release of documents later this (Tuesday) afternoon dealing with the employment separation of former Brenham Police Chief Craig Goodman.

Brenham City Secretary Jeana Bellinger says she just received the requested documents from the City Attorney today (Tuesday) and they total over 800 pages.  Bellinger has begun the process of copying and scanning in order to meet the requests of the news media.

Bryan TV station KBTX initially requested the documents dealing with Goodman’s employment last May, under the Texas Public Information Act.  After seeking an opinion from the Texas Attorney General’s office, the City was forced to release the documents.

Goodman submitted his resignation as Brenham Police Chief on December 28th of last year, effective January 1st, citing “personal reasons”.
