COACH WEST TO BE HONORED MONDAY

Brenham High School football coach and athletic director Glen West will be honored as a “Coach of Distinction” at the Texas Coaches Leadership Summit, Monday in Katy.

The summit is part of the GameChanger program that has been a big success in Brenham.

The program will feature a slew of motivational speakers with a message about how to be a successful leader, and how to connect to young people in the community.

Among the speakers will be: Coach Kevin Sumlin; Coach Charles Strong; LaDanian Tomlinson; Coach Marsha Sharp and many others.

Coach West will be presented the award at 12:20, Monday afternoon from the Texas High School Coaches Education Foundation.

The Summit will be held at the Merrill Center in Katy, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
