CONGRESSMAN BETO O’ROURKE TO VISIT NAVASOTA
Texas Congressman and U.S. Senate candidate Beto O’Rourke is visiting Grimes County as part of his month-long road trip across the state.
O’Rourke will hold a town hall event at the Navasota VFW on Saturday, August 25th, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
O’Rourke, a Democratic Congressman from El Paso, launched his month-long tour on July 29, which includes nearly 100 events across the state. He intends to visit all 254 counties across his campaign. He is competing for the Senate seat currently held by Republican Ted Cruz.
Prior to his stop in Navasota, O’Rourke will be in Edna, Houston, and Spring. Following Saturday’s event, he will continue on to Huntsville and Austin.

This Sunday, there will be an organizing rally held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Blinn College Student Center. Organizers will be able to meet supporters in the area and hear an update from the campaign. The rally will be in rooms 2 and 3 of the Student Center, located at 902 College Avenue in Brenham. O'Rourke will not be in attendance.
