COUNTY COMMISSIONERS APPROVE SHERIFF’S INTERN

  

The Washington County Commissioners approved of an intern for the Washington County Sheriff’s office at their morning meeting (Tuesday).

This intern will be the 3rd intern under Sheriff Otto Hanak. This internship comes from a partnership with Blinn College Criminal Justice Students.

Chief Deputy, Jay Petrash spoke to the Commissioners on the internship.

 

This internship will be for one semester and the intern will complete 176 to 200 hours. This is an unpaid internship.

Approved at today’s (Tuesday’s) meeting, commissioners approved the adoption of the 2015 Annual Road Report for Washington County as well as the approval of four pending Fairgrounds and Management’s Rental and Regulations contracts for: concessions, a birthday party, a craw fish boil, and a Christmas party.

Commissioners also approved accounts payable, the Sheriff’s Office monthly report, and the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) monthly report.

The Washington County Commissioners Court will meet again, next Tuesday, February 23rd.
