COUPLE ARRESTED ON MULTIPLE CHARGES
Two people face charges after their arrests Tuesday morning at a local department store.
Brenham Police Corporal Tommie Kurie was called to the local WalMart store just before 9:00 a.m. where a woman reportedly tried to make a transaction using a fake paper driver’s license and fake check, and later attempted to make a return.
The suspect’s husband was located and was found to be in possession of numerous fake id’s, as well as marijuana.
42-year old Jeremy Ornelas of Gonzales was arrested and charged with Forgery of Government/National Government Instrument, and fraudulent use/possession of identity info as well as Possession of Marijuana.
His wife, 32-year old Tasha Ornelas of Yoakum was arrested for Forgery of a Government Instrument after numerous fake driver’s licenses and checks were located.
Tasha was found with methamphetamines, for which she was also charged.
Both were taken to the Washington County Jail.
