Congratulations to all the student athletes and coaches who were outstanding in competition. These kids train an hour and a half starting at 6 a.m. before school and again for two hours after school. If anyone thinks swimming is a joke of a sport come on down and try it for a week. I’m sure you won’t be laughing but humbled and respect what these great kids day in and day out as well as the long hours these coaches work. Finally, I am especially proud that the AD Coach Allen drove almost two hours to watch, cheer, talk with the kids and parents. I am thankful of the school board and superintendent chose Coach Allen. He is winning the hearts and minds of the students and parents and that is what is needed. Change can be accepted or it can be hard! I for one think change is needed and Coach Allen is the one to make it happen for All students and All student athletes.
