Brenham High School’s Cub Company made history last month at a celebrated statewide theatre festival.

The group performed for the first time in school history at the Texas Thespian Festival, at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine.

The group was chosen to perform after its production of “Steadfast Tin Soldier” was selected as one of this year’s Texas Thespians Play Marathon productions.

The one-legged Tin Soldier (Edin Inestroza) and Rag Doll Zoey (Mallory Hughes) perform a duet during a rehearsal last month of "Steadfast Tin Soldier" at Brenham High School.

The troupe also set a new record with eight students moving on to Nationals in June.
