CUBETTES/LADY PANTHERS OPEN 2018 SEASON TONIGHT

The 2018 high school volleyball season kicks off tonight as the Brenham Cubettes and Burton Lady Panthers both hit the road to open the 2018 season.

The Cubettes’ opener with Brazos Consolidated has been switched to Wallis due to travel problems for Consolidated.

Cubettes’ head coach Debbie Yeager, appearing on the Brenham Sports Line, Monday night, says she and the Cubettes are really looking forward to the start of the 2018 season…

The Cubettes enter the season with five seniors: Julia Benfield, Makenna Schroeder, Kaitlin Whitehead, Tatum Smidovec and Brianna Jasinski, as well as a group of enthusiastic sophomores and juniors.

Coach Yeager says she’s really excited about the prospects for 2018…

The Cubettes open the season tonight at Brazos Consolidated and will travel to the Columbus Tournament, Thursday-thru-Saturday.

The Lady Panthers are heading into the 2018 season with a new head coach, former Lady Panther player Katie Kiecke.

Burton opens the season tonight at Schulenburg.

Kiecke, appearing on Monday’s Sports Line, says she and the team are ready to kick of the season…

With just three returning players from last year’s State Semifinalist team (Senior Sidney Smith and Juniors Kyndal Coufal and Alex Contouriotis), Kiecke says this is a young team that needs to mature quickly…

Following tonight’s opener at Schulenburg, the Lady Panthers will compete this weekend at the Franklin Tournament.
