CUBETTES TRY TO KEEP PLAYOFF HOPES ALIVE VS. MAGNOLIA

The Brenham Cubettes face a must-win tonight as they travel to Magnolia for a District 19/5A matchup with the Lady Bulldogs.

The Cubettes (18-9/6-6) are currently fifth in district—two games out of a playoff berth.

Brenham must win its final two games, tonight at Magnolia and Thursday at home to Waller, while A&M Consolidated must lose twice (tonight against Magnolia West and Thursday at Paetow).

Magnolia defeated the Cubettes in the first go-round of district play, 6-3.

Brenham is coming off a 7-4 win over Rudder, Friday night, while the Lady Bulldogs (19-4/9-3) beat Paetow, 13-0.

First pitch at Magnolia is set for 6:30.

The Cubettes will close out the regular season, Thursday when they host Waller for Seniors Night at 6:30.  Thursday’s game can be heard on AM-1280 KWHI, FM 101.7 and www.kwhi.com.
