CUBS’ ACKER/JOZWIAK INK LETTERS-OF-INTENT
Two members of the Brenham Cubs baseball team have signed national letters-of-intent to play college ball.
Dane Acker signed with the Rice Owls and Chandler Jozwiak signed with the San Jac Gators.

Acker, a right-handed pitcher/infielder, was 2-1 on the mound, with a 1.90 earned run average and 14 strikeouts in 22 innings pitched, with a WHIP of 1.40. At the plate, Acker led the team in home runs (3) and runs batted in (16).
Jozwiak, a left-handed pitcher/outfielder, was 5-1 in eight starts on the mound, with a 2.23 e.r.a. He struck out 51 batters in 53 innings pitched and had a WHIP of 1.03. Jozwialk also led the Cubs in hitting with a .321 average, 13 runs scored and seven doubles.
