CUBS TO BATTLE COYOTES IN AREA PLAYOFF
The Brenham Cubs are getting ready to take the next step in the 2019 playoffs, tonight.
The Cubs (9-2) will travel to San Antonio to face Alice (9-2) in the Area Round of the Region IV/5A DII playoffs.
The Cubs are coming off a 35-28 win over Medina Valley, last week, while the Coyotes edged Mercedes, 21-17.

The Coyotes have done much of their damage through the air, as senior quarterback Isaiah Aguilar has thrown for over 1500 yards and 10 touchdowns. Aguilar also leads a balanced running attack with nearly 400 yards, while three other runners have contributed significantly.
Aguilar has a pair of deep receiving threats in Jacob Guzman (21-392) and Waylon Moore (19-402).
Coach Allen says if the Cubs are going to advance, they must improve their play from last week…
The winner of tonight’s game faces the winner between Kerrville Tivy and Callallen, next week.
Tonight’s game gets underway at Comalander Stadium in San Antonio at 7:30. The game can be heard on AM-1280 KWHI, FM 101.7 and www.kwhi.com beginning with the Pre-Game Show at 7:00.
