CUBS TO FACE PORTER IN PLAYOFF’S OPENING ROUND

The Brenham Cubs have set their Bi-District Playoff series.

The Cubs (25-5) will face New Caney Porter (19-12) in a best two-of-three series, Friday and Saturday.

Game one is set for Friday night at Porter High School at 7:00 p.m.  Games two and (if necessary) three are scheduled for noon, Saturday at Leroy Dreyer Field at Blinn College.

The Cubs finished second in District 19/5A (11-3), while the Spartans were third (9-5) in 20/5A.

The winner of the series will advance to the Area round of the Region III/5A playoffs.
