DAPHNE KOHRING ANNOUNCES CANDIDACY FOR WASHINGTON CO. TAX ASSESSOR-COLLECTOR

  

A candidate has announced her intent to file for the position of Washington County Tax Assessor-Collector.

Daphne Kohring has announced she will run in March’s Republican primary for the position, which is currently being held by Dot Borchardt, who is retiring.

Kohring was born in Brenham, and is a graduate of Brenham High School, Blinn College, and Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Kohring works as the controller of Appel Ford, where she has been employed since 2007, and Hyundai of Brenham, where she has worked since 2010.  She and her husband, Bradley, are also partners in Brenham’s Cattleman’s Supply.  She also holds the office of treasurer for the Rotary Club of Washington County.

Kohring said she would be honored to serve Washington County, and is excited for the opportunity to do so.

 

 

Kohring and her husband currently reside in Chappell Hill and have a daughter, Riley, that attends Brenham High School.

The Republican primary election is set for March 3, 2020.
