DEADLINE WEDNESDAY TO TURN IN CARDS FOR KWHI HALLOWEEN PARTY

  

KWHI’s annual “Halloween Party” is set for this Wednesday night at 7 o’clock on AM 1280 and FM 101.7.

That means there’s not much time to fill out your KWHI Halloween Party entry card and return it.  Students at Brenham Junior High School were just given their cards today (Monday) by their teachers, and students at Brenham Middle School were given their cards last Friday.

Parents will need to bring their children’s cards from those schools by the KWHI offices at 223 East Main Street in downtown Brenham before 5 p.m. Wednesday.  Or they can take their cards back to the offices at Brenham Junior High or Brenham Middle School and KWHI will pick them up Wednesday afternoon.

KWHI has been holding its “on the radio” Halloween Party for more than 50 years, encouraging safe trick or treating and getting home by a decent hour.  Besides the Grand Prize of a new bicycle from Brenham Tire & Auto, there are dozens of terrific prizes for kids of all ages.

This year KWHI is giving away lots of prizes that older kids would enjoy, like a portable phone charger, a radio controlled helicopter drone, an Echo Dot smart speaker and a 32 inch flat screen TV.  Of course there will be plenty of prizes for the younger trick or treaters too, like passes to Horseshoe Junction, Grumblies interactive monster dolls, Raptor and T-Rex Fingerlings, and a Lego Wonder Woman Dorm!

Each bright orange and green Halloween Party entry card also contains valuable coupons from Burger King, Horseshoe Junction, Bush’s Chicken and Whataburger.  After trick-or-treating on Halloween night, kids and their parents should tune in to KWHI’s Halloween Party to find out if they’ve won.  Special spooky guest DJ’s will be drawing winners and calling them by phone to award the prizes.

Anyone who hasn’t received a Halloween Party entry card at school can pick one up at the KWHI business office at 223 East Main Street in downtown Brenham.  A copy of the card, with a full list of prizes and sponsors, is available on our website, www.kwhi.com.
