DEADLY HARRIS COUNTY SHOOTING

Harris County law enforcement officers are searching for a gunman who killed three and injured two in a late afternoon shooting at an apartment complex in the northwestern portion of the county.

The three people were killed and two others injured when they were gunned down yesterday (Wednesday).

The three dead were in their late teens or early 20s.  Law enforcement officers say this at least the third shooting in the past two weeks to take the lives of teens.

In Wednesday’s shooting, two women, one 18 and a 20-year old man were killed.  An injured man and woman were life flighted to the Houston Hermann’s Hospital Trauma center.  They are in critical condition.

The gunman was in the apartment at Peppermill Place in the 8200 block of Sunbury in the Copperfield area, when he opened fire at about 4:25pm.  Someone in the complex reported hearing gunfire.  Authorities were told the gunman shot the five, closed the apartment door and fled.
