DIABETES COOKING CLASSES IN AUGUST AT AUSTIN CO. COURTHOUSE
The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Austin County is sponsoring upcoming classes on how to cook well with diabetes.
The classes will be held August 5th, 12th, and 19th at 6:30 p.m., in the Austin County Courthouse basement meeting room.
Area health and nutrition professionals will teach participants how to manage their meal plans and self-care to keep their blood glucose in the ranges recommended by the American Diabetes Association.
In addition to the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, the program is being sponsored by Bellville General Hospital and the Department of State Health and Human Services.
Pre-registration is available through July 30th for $30, with registration going up to $40 after the 29th. To register, visit http://austin.agrilife.org.
