DISTRICT 13 REPRESENTATIVE LEIGHTON SCHUBERT ANNOUNCES FOR RE-ELECTION

The freshman representative of District 13 Leighton Schubert has announced that he will run for re-election to serve his first full term as District 13 Representative.

Schubert won his current seat after winning a special election in February of this year after then State Representative Lois Kolkhorst was elected to the Texas Senate.

Schubert has focused on local issues such as Blinn College, State School funding and infrastructure across the district.

Schubert says that “It has been a great honor to serve the people of House District 13. I grew up in this district, opened my business here and want to provide a bright future for Texas families who want to do the same thing. I believe Texas is a shining example for the rest of the nation. But to keep the Texas Miracle going strong we must continue to pass fiscally responsible budgets, cut taxes for hard working families and, most importantly, defend our rural Texas way of life that makes us so fiercely independent and strong,”
